Spam is an unsolicited random e-mail that has been sent without the consent of the recipient.
Malware is the abbreviation for "malicious software". It is the general name given to unwanted and nasty scripts/codes like viruses, trojans etc. Such codes can enter your PC through an attachment of a program, or they can be downloaded unknowingly at the background from a web site you are browsing.
