REM is a system that enables official correspondence to be conducted in a legally compliant, internationally standardized, and technically secure manner in electronic format. In addition to the standard functions of email, REM provides evidential services regarding:

• Whether the email was actually sent by the indicated sender (person or institution),

• Whether it was delivered to the recipient and the exact delivery time,

• Whether it was opened by the recipient,

• The ability to retrieve the message later if needed.
