In order to run the DSClient application in EBYS,you need to install Java,KamuSM drivers and DSClient as shown in https://faq.cc.metu.edu.tr/faq/how-can-i-use-e-signature-electronic-document-management-system-new-client. If you are getting any errors whilst running the application, make sure that the latest versions of every application are installed from this page.

If you are seeing errors even after making the installations properly, apply the advised method for the error you are encountering down below. If the problem persists, you can contact ebys-destek@metu.edu.tr with your operating system information and the screenshot of the error you are encountering.

Error mesage:  DSClient application is not found. / Sistem belirtilen dosyayı bulamıyor. [WINDOWS]
Advised method: Delete every version of Java from your computer by using the control panel. Restart your computer, then install the Java 8 version with admin properties, which can be accessed from https://www.java.com/. Run the DSClientService from Windows Services, then retry the e-sign processes.

Error mesage:  DSClient application is not found. If DSClient is installed, please run it to continue the signing. [WINDOWS]
Advised method: There might be missing components in the installation of DSClient. If the program seems installed, delete it and install the latest version from https://faq.cc.metu.edu.tr/faq/how-can-i-use-e-signatures-ebys-windows-step-three-how-can-i-download-dsclient-application, then retry the e-signing processes.

Error message:  DSAPI 9999 Imza Atma Islemi Tamamlanamadı / DSAPI 10062 Akıllı kart bloke haldedir. [ALL OPERATING SYSTEMS]
Advised method: Your e-sign PIN might be locked. To unlock your PIN, follow the steps as shown in https://faq.cc.metu.edu.tr/faq/how-can-i-generate-pin-password-code-my-e-signature-sim-card-how-can-i-unlock-pin. Retry the e-signing processes afterwards.

Error message:  [object Object]  [ALL OPERATING SYSTEMS]
Advised method: You can encounter this error on multiple occasions but the most common one occurs when you try to sign a document as a representative yet your name does not appear on the document. The document needs to be given back, and the creator of the document should send the document back with your name selected as the representative in order for you to sign.
