EBYS E-signature Application (DSClient) License File Change
Due to the update of the e-signature libraries by TÜBİTAK Public Certification Center (KamuSM), it has been announced that e-signature applications integrated with the KamuSM infrastructure need to be updated. Accordingly, a study has been conducted by the developer company to make the DSClient e-signature application used for electronic signature processes in EBYS compatible with the new e-signature libraries, and the license file used by the application has been renewed. To ensure that all our users who perform electronic signing in EBYS can continue signing without being affected by the announced infrastructure change, the license file of the DSClient application must be updated by January 14, 2025.
This change will not require any installation. Our users only need to download the updated license file named "licence.xml" from the link https://portal.synergynow.io/#/_redirect/A1mLJJ72thgboqTCISfV4s to their computers and replace the license file as specified below for the operating system they are using.
Windows users:
- After downloading the updated license file from the link mentioned above to the computer, it should be placed in the C:\Program Files\DSClient\lisans directory with the name "licence.xml". Then, the DSClient service should be restarted from the Windows Task Manager > Services screen.
- The https://ebys.metu.edu.tr page can be reloaded and used on the browser.
