EBYS E-signature Application (DSClient) License File Change
Due to the upcoming renewal of the TÜBİTAK Public Certification Center (KamuSM) license, the DSClient e-signature application used for electronic signature processes in EBYS must be updated with the new license file by June 18, 2025. To ensure uninterrupted use of electronic signatures in EBYS, all users performing e-signing operations must download the latest DSClient license file from https://portal.synergynow.io/#/_redirect/o734pzRk39fNLAE7A0Nzsp and replace the existing license file as per the instructions for their respective operating system (details provided below). Failure to update will result in the DSClient e-signature application ceasing to function. Mobile signature users do not need to make any changes.
Windows users:
- DSClient service should be stopped from the Windows Task Manager > Services screen; if Java appears to be running in the Windows Task Manager > Processes screen, it should also be terminated.
- After downloading the updated license file from the link mentioned above to the computer, it should be placed in the C:\Program Files\DSClient\lisans directory with the name "licence.xml". Then, the DSClient service should be restarted.
- Computer should be restarted.
- The https://ebys.metu.edu.tr page can be reloaded and used on the browser.
