- Log in to EBYS.
- From the left menu, select the "E-Forms" option.
- From the opened section, select the "Maintenance and Repair Form" option.
- Visit https://useraccount.metu.edu.tr/ and click “Forgot password” link.
- Type your username and recovery e-mail as you were notified and validate the image.
- You will receive an email to set your password. Click the activation link and set your password. Make sure your password meets the requirements (For more information on METU username and passwords, please visit http://faq.cc.metu.edu.tr/faq/password-and-recovery-e-mail-procedures-metu-user-codes)
- Click and download the applicable installer for your operating system.
- Windows
- MacOS (For MacOS versions High Sierra and above, visit Mac App Store)

- Start the installer and follow the on screen instructions.
- After the installer finishes, click "Click to download VPN profile", type border.metu.edu.tr for the server address and enter METU username and password.
- If asked, select default profile.

- Click "VPN disconnected - click to connect" button and type your METU username-password.
- After a successful connection, you can see the following window. You can now access the shared documents.
- After you finish working with the documents, click "VPN connected - click to disconnect" button to disconnect.
When I use ‘For Foreign Applicants’ link, how can I get the "E-mail" and "Password" information to start the online application?
a. To obtain Email and Password, the "New User" button must be clicked and the required information must be filled in. The password provided for you will be e-mailed to you.
b. You must define a password that includes integer and characters.

Where can I find information about ReCaptcha image validation (I'm not a robot) on the registration page?
Google ReCaptcha service is added to the user's browser automatically and verified by Google. In addition, since this service has a timeout, the verification may time out by itself when the correct ones are selected from the images shown on the screen and waiting for a while.

Do the representative rights transfer if a representative gives another individual representation?
It does not transfer.
To explain with an example;
Individual-A gave individiual-B representation.

Program that I want to apply does not require the letter of recommendation. How can I proceed?

Do I have to enter a recommendation letter for every applied program?
You have to enter the names of professors or supervisors from whom you have obtained the recomendation letters (two letters , therefore two entries are required - please see here. )

How can I give representations/make changes if the individual that will be the representative is not available?
You should send an e-mail to ebys-destek@metu.edu.tr regarding who will represent whom and for how long. Necessary changes will be made.

Information for ABET Evaluators
In order to access documents shared with you, you need a METU user name & password and you need to connect to METU network via METU VPN. If you are asked for METU username and password at any point, you need to type your METU user name (without @metu.edu.tr part) and password.
If this is the first time you try to access METU documents and you don't have your METU password or didn't install the METU VPN application, do the following: (Just for once)

Once you have your METU username and password, and installed METU VPN, you need to connect to METU VPN with METU username in order to access shared documents.
